About the event
Rosh HaShanah is the first holiday of the Jewish High Holiday season. It means “the head of the year” although it takes place on the first day of Tishrei which is the seventh month on the Jewish civil calendar. Our services includes traditional as well as Messianic prayers through which we reflect on God’s kingship, His remembrance of His people, and the revelation of God’s ultimate redemption. During the service, we hear the blowing of the shofar (ram’s horn) as a call to repentance and attention to God.
