10 AM Shavuot Service
Shavuot is the second in-gathering holiday of the year, as designated in Leviticus 23. It points to three main themes. At its core, it has agricultural significance as a festival marking the transition from the early barley harvest to the beginning of the wheat-growing season. Later, it became identified with the giving of the Torah at Mt. Sinai following the Exodus of the Jewish people from Egypt and entering into covenant relationship with YHVH as a free people. Its most important significance for us as followers of the Messiah is its correspondence with the outpouring of the Ruach haKodesh after Yeshua's ascension, and the inauguration of the kingdom of God comprised of the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob along with all the nations.
